Goodbye to paper
A large chemical multinational such as Solvay has a multitude of industrial plants all over the globe. On each of those plants are countless installations and machinery, that all need to be inspected and maintained. Many of those installations are unique, or at least significantly different. The plants are all in different countries with different legislation. Together this resulted in stacks of forms, checklists and papers that need to be filled out each day. Impossible to automate cost effectively.
By introducing AppSheet and training employees to create apps, Solvay has been able to exchange over 1200 forms up to date. And this mission to get rid of paper is still ongoing.
